Normcore is a reflection of a style that is connected with casual, exaggeration, comfort and normality. This style, which is indispensable for some today, was created once again by Christian Heikoop. We would like to remind you once again of this study carried out in the past years.
Subculture Normcore refers to things that are commonly used, acceptable or otherwise proven to be harmful; conscious, artificial adoption. Based on the values and characteristics of the extreme conformists mindset, Cristian designed a visualization of the Normcore future, through which the three future Normcore aspects are visually expressed. Perhaps designing a way to attract or not attract attention, Cristian thinks that the future trend will be based on scruffy, and he shapes his normcore collection based on this.
This idea of the designer both reveals striking cultural details and offers a different perspective.
Cristian's opinion on subculture normcore
“Normcores value seclusion and make body alignment impossible for others. Anonymity: they like to protect themselves and wear inconspicuous clothing, therefore being very secretive. All in all: They don't like to show off by making choices and reducing the amount of options.”
